British Icons: The Spitfire

£650.00

47.2 x 42.8 x 5 cm, No. 1 of 25, £650

The iconic Spitfire, a critical part of Britain’s defences at the Battle of Britain in 1940. This one is now in the Imperial War Museum. I love the abstract patterns and shapes, and the rivets that give it such a distinctive look.

This piece was created from my original photograph and digitally coloured. The image is printed on brushed aluminium, giving it a metallic feel.

Completed with a thick silver aluminium box-frame.
