Let There Be Light(s), LACMA (box-framed aluminium)
51.2 × 51.2 × 5 cm, edition of 25, £650
Chris Burden’s ‘Urban Light’ is one of my absolute favourite public art installations. Using more than 200 vintage street lamps from California streets in the 1920’s and 30’s make it even more iconic.
This piece was created from my original photograph, and digitally coloured’ by hand. Printing the image on brushed aluminium gives the it an etched appearance, highlighting the beautiful shapes and details of the historic lamps.
Completed with a thick silver aluminium box-frame.
‘Let There Be Light (s)’ is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 14 days.
