From my Little Apple collection: ‘celebrate the Big Apple with a little piece of art.’
I love the intricate patterns seen in so many of New York's iconic landmarks. This is one of my favourites. This artwork is created from an original photograph of Brooklyn Bridge and digitally coloured. The criss-cross patterns of the bridge’s design lend themselves perfectly to the thin aluminium surface it is printed on. The lines you see here appear as pure metal on the piece, picking up the light as you move across the picture. I've coloured a few people in vivid colours to contrast with the black and silver lines. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
