A few months ago I went on a journey that I will remember forever - sailing down the river Thames at 4 am on a small rescue boat. Apart from the beautiful tranquility gliding through the water it was a treat to see the gorgeous shapes of so many landmarks silhouetted against the changing colours of the sunrise.
This piece was created from the view approaching Blackfriars Bridge with St Paul's, the Cheesegrater, the Oxo Tower and more lined up side by side.
The original photograph was digitally coloured and printed on a thin sheet of brushed aluminium which really brings out the vivid colours. A thin silver line traces the outline of the city.
