Manhattan From Above 2 (brushed aluminium)

I’ve been lucky enough to have taken a few helicopter flights over New York in recent years. With the doors off the flights really do provide a fantastic opportunity to photograph some exciting and unusual views for new work (as long as I don’t think too much about how high up I am and how the wind is pummelling my legs!).
I’ve always loved the patterns of the Manhattan landscape, from the grids of the streets to the curves of the Hudson as the river wraps its way round the island. Here I’ve highlighted a couple of my favourite landmarks in vivid colours, which contrast nicely with the pieces metallic finish. The image was created from an original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed on a slim sheet of brushed aluminium.
Manhattan From Above 2 is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
