From the Petit Paris collection: ‘Celebrate La Grande Ville with a little piece of art’.
This piece is created from a photograph of the Champs Elysees taken from from the top of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. I wanted to show the contrast between the never-ending tree-lined avenue and the historic buildings it carves through. The Champs Elysees itself has been left untouched from the original photograph while it’s surroundings have been digitally altered to highlight the patterns of the streets. Printing the image on a small sheet of brushed aluminium picks out the landscape’s details and contrasts it perfectly with the tree-lined avenue. The image is floated in a hand-painted white wood frame.
