Summer in Sydney (Sydney Opera House, aluminium)

£900.00
Limited Edition

62 x 87 cm, edition of 25

Revellers enjoy a summer drink outside the Sydney Opera House. When I first visited Sydney I instantly fell in love with the Opera House. I became obessed with it’s sail-shaped design, and the texture of the surface. I had never realised it was made up of so many tiles - over a million in total. I think that if you can recognise a building from its shape that is the mark of a great design. And the Opera House is one of the best examples of this.

This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured and printed on brushed aluminium. Printing on metal gives the image an etched effect and picks out the intricate pattern of the tiles.

Summer in Sydney is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in 10-14 days.

And another thing: Arnold Swarzenegger won his final Mr Olympia body building title at the Sydney Opera House!
