The Art of the Motorway (brushed aluminium)

Much of my art is inspired by views from above. I love the patterns and abstact shapes you can see from high up. This piece was created from a photograph taken while hanging out of a helicopter with the doors off.
The picture is printed on a slim sheet of brushed aluminium leaving the motorway in metal, contrasting with the fluorescent green of the surrounding landscape. I’ve coloured the image digitally by hand, picking out the ant-like cars with bright colours. I particularly like the curve of the motorway as it carves its way through the English countryside.
The Art of The Motorway is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
