I love the shapes of sports arenas and I love the patterns of cities from the air.
This piece shows the Arthur Ashe stadium and surrounding courts of the US Open at Flushing Meadows. The art work was created from my original photograph taken on a helicopter flight with the doors off.
The image was digitally coloured and printed on brushed aluminium. This gives it an etched appearance, picking out the details and shapes of the landscape.
Completed with a thick silver aluminium box-frame.
