Whispers At The Oyster Bar

Opening just 3 weeks after Grand Central in 1913 the Oyster Bar quickly became the place to be. Obviously I love the interlocking herringbone patterns of the tiles on the vaulted arches!
The man in red is testing out the famous whispering gallery. His whispers can be heard by his friend in the opposite corner.
The piece is created from my original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed on brushed aluminium. This gives it an etched appearance, picking out the iconic patterns. Ready to hang.
