Little London, Bibendum
16 x 25 x 4 cm, edition of 30
From my Little London collection: ‘Celebrate the Big Smoke with a little piece of art.’
'Bibendum' , or Michelin House is one of my favourite buildings in London dating back to 1911, and was originally the headquarters of the famous tyre company .
This piece is created from an original photograph of the famous Art Deco building. The photograph is digitally manipulated to trace the outlines and then painstakingly coloured. It is then printed directly onto a small sheet of aluminum, which gives the piece an etched appearance. The vivid blue/purple sky contrasts beautifully with the silver of the aluminium. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
Little London, Bibendum is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 2 weeks.
