Little London, London Eye 1
26 x 4 x 16 cm, edition of 30
From my Little London collection: ‘Celebrate the Big Smoke with a little piece of art.’
I’m always looking for more interesting and unusual angles for my images, preferably a view that we don’t see very often. This piece was created from an original photograph taken while hanging out of a helicopter with the doors off. I love how the diagonal line divides it into silver and blue.
The original photograph was digitally coloured by hand (there are a lot of spokes on that wheel!) and then printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium. This gives the piece an etched appearance and really picks out the detail of the Eye and buildings. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
Little London, London Eye 1 is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 3 weeks.
