The National Theatre – the Brutalist beauty on London's South Bank. one of my favourite artistic muses. This is one of my favourite views – it almost seems to be 3-D here. The simple Brutalist block shapes lend themselves to my style of art.
The piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed directly onto a super-thin sheet of brushed aluminium. I’ve used a bold bright yellow for the sky to contrast with the buiulding’s grey Brutalist concrete.
National Theatre (mellow yellow) is also available in a pink, teal, and multi- coloured edition. It is made to order, and can usually be created and delivered in around 2 weeks. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it very easy to hang.
