I love iconic objects. Especially those that have played such an important role in our lives. This piece was created from an original photograph of the phone box opposite Charing Cross Road Station in London.
The image is digitally coloured by hand and printed on reclaimed wooden planks with a urban steel edging to reflect its enduring past. I have recently bought the side of a vintage red phone box and I’m really looking forward to making some new art with it in the near future. I’ll call you when it’s finished.
