Monk Kok Signs (brushed aluminium)

£950.00
Limited Edition

61 x 91 cm, edition of 25

I’ve always been entranced by the chaotic hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. And Mong Kok truly embodies this. The name translates as ‘propserous’ or ‘crowded corner’, and was once described as the busiest district in the world by the Guinness Book of Records. The area is a multi-coloured mix of neon signs cramming every available space. It is a work of art.

This piece was created from an original photograph and digitally coloured by hand. Printing the image on a slim sheet of brushed aluminium gives a nod to the industrial feel of the signs and brings out the bright colours.

Monk Kok Signs is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
