Past Glories, Battersea Power Station (neon and aluminium)

I’ve lived in London for a long long time and I never get fed up of seeing Battersea Power Station. It’s been a huge inspiration for my art. I think if you can identify a building solely by its outline that is a sign of a great design. And the power station is one of the best examples of this.
This piece is created from an original photograph. The shape of the power station and it’s bright white glow are made with neon (glass tubes), as are the bluey/purple plumes of smoke, harking back to its glory days in the 1970s. The glass tubes are then attached to a spray-painted aluminium box.
Past Glories (Battersea Power Station) is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 4 weeks.
