From my Petit Paris collection: ‘celebrate la Grand Ville with a little piece of art.’
I.M Pei’s glass pyramid - a stunning piece of modern architecture surrounded by the historic Louvre museum which opened in 1793.
Constructed from 603 rhombus and 70 triangular glass segments the Pyramid lends itself perfectly to my style of art. This piece was created from an original photograph, digtally coloured and printed on a small piece of brushed aluminium. This gives the piece an etched appearance and highlights the museum’s repeated patterns and shapes. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
