Berlin Television Tower (circular aluminium)

The top of one of my favourite buildings in Berlin - the Television Tower. The tower, constructed by the East German government in the 1960’s, was intended to be a symbol of Communist power and the country’s supposed technological prowess.
I love it’s retro design, especially its tiled stainless steel dome. This piece is created from an original photograph and printed on a slim sheet of circular aluminium, which replicates the landmark’s metallic appearance and picks out the lovely patterns and detail.
Berlin Television Tower is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
