Go With The Flow (river Thames with real flowing river)

£25,000.00
Limited Edition

60 x 140 x 6 cm, very limited edition of 3

My most ambitious piece to date. This piece features my favourite stretch of the river Thames, from Chiswick to Woolwich. Its beautiful shape and curves are perfect for my art.

The iconic shape of the river is laser-cut into a thin sheet of pewter, battered to give it that vintage money box feel, and fitted with acrylic. The acrylic is filled with is a low viscosity silicone fluid (a watery substance that doesn’t stagnate). The ‘water’ is lit by a stream of L.E.D lights and flows from left to right thanks to motors inside the pewter box. Tiny specs of mica powder catch the lights and make it easier for us to see the water moving.

And if you look closely you might just see a whale and a shopping trolley float by…

Also available in an acrylic and L.E.D edition, minus the floating whale!
