BBC Television Centre (brushed aluminium)

One of London and Britain's most iconic buildings - the BBC Television Centre - home to the British Broadcasting Corporation for more than 50 years from the 1960's. It was such a formative part of my childhood, with so many classic shows made there over the years. It holds a special place in my heart - I worked there for many years as a TV Producer before becoming a full-time artist.
The piece was created from an original photograph, digitally coloured and printed on a thin sheet of brushed aluminium, which gives it an etched appearance. I’ve replaced the famous white dots on the wall with a collection of vintage television knobs, which are screwed into the aluminium, so you can turn them. This is one of my favourite pieces - I hope the reception is good. I’m here all year.
BBC Television Centre is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around two weeks, assuming my supply of vintage buttons doesn't run out. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
