London Eye (lighter blue)
76 x 51 cm, edition of 25
I am always looking for interesting and unusual angles for my images, preferably a view that we don’t see very often. This piece was created from an original photograph taken while hanging out of a helicopter with the doors off. I love its perspective and how the diagonal line divides it into silver and blue.
The original photograph was digitally coloured by hand (there are a lot of spokes on that wheel!) and then printed on a slim sheet of brushed aluminium. This gives the piece an etched appearance and really picks out the detail of the Eye and surrounding buildings.
There are no blemishes on this piece at all but it was printed with a lighter blue than I normally prefer, (see picture to compare) so I’m offering it at £600, instead of its normal price of £950.
