One of my favourite ways of seeing the city is from as high-up as possible. This piece was created from an original photograph taken from a helicopter. You can see from the South Bank as far as the wind turbines in Kent.
The view shows everything I love about London: the incredible number of beautiful landmarks (old and new), the beautiful patterns in the landscape, and the gorgeous curves of the river Thames as it carves its way through the metropolis.
The original photograph was digitally manipulated to trace the outlines and shape of the city. It is coloured and then printed on brushed aluminium which gives the image an etched appearance.
