Much of my art is inspired by views from above. I love the patterns and abstact shapes you can see from high up. This piece was created from a photograph taken while hanging out of a helicopter with the doors off.
The picture is printed on a slim sheet of brushed aluminium leaving the motorway in metal, contrasting with the fluorescent green of the surrounding landscape. I’ve coloured the image digitally by hand, picking out the ant-like cars with bright colours. I particularly like the curve of the motorway as it carves its way through the English countryside.
