‘Our Lady of Paris’ - one of the most iconic symbols of Paris and the French nation. The cathedral's construction began as far back as 1160! Napoleon was coronated here, it was immortalised in Victor Hugo’s famous novel The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and sadly suffered serious damage in the fire in 2019.
I’ve always loved the cathedral. It’s dramatic design and incredible location perched on an island on the river make it the perfect muse for me. And, as you can see bottom right, it is often the scene of wedding photographs.
This piece is created from an original photograph, digitally coloured, and printed on a small sheet of brushed aluminium. This picks out the cathedral’s elaborate detail and gives the piece an etched appearance.
Notre Dame Wedding is made to order. It can usually be created and delivered in around 10-14 days. An aluminium subframe on the back makes it incredibly easy to hang.
