As a visitor from London this building was the first thing I saw after I landed at Los Angeles airport. Currently empty, I really hope it is turned into something amazing that we can all use someday. It's such a waste to be left unloved! I love its flying saucer shape, a perfect example of the 1960's Googie architecture, a movement influenced by the space age.
This piece is created from an original photograph and digitally coloured by hand. Printing it on a small piece of brushed aluminium highlights the building’s beautiful shape and really brings out the stunning lines and angles. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.

Although the Getty Museum houses one of the most extensive art collections in the world, it was the design of the building itself that really captured my attention. I love its crisp simple lines and curves, designed by architect Richard Meier.
This artwork was created from an original photograph. It was digitally coloured and printed on a small piece of brushed aluminium, which brings out the vivid pink, contrasting with the colour of the stone. The image is floated in a hand-painted wood frame.
